TOMORROW: AUVSI Webinar on Drone Regulatory Environment
Regulatory insiders will examine current and future unmanned systems regulations
 

ARLINGTON, Va. – The Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) will host a webinar to discuss existing and pending unmanned systems regulations. The webinar will take place Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 3 p.m. EDT.

“Flying Safe: Current and Impending Legislation” will discuss the importance of understanding unmanned systems regulations and educating lawmakers on the potential of the unmanned systems industry. The webinar will feature Aaron Pierce, Chief Executive Officer at Pierce Aerospace and Manny Cruz, AUS-430 and Safety and Operations Branch Manager at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) UAS Integration Office, who will discuss how regulators can prioritize public safety without constricting economic potential. The webinar will also preview AUVSI Hill Day 2018, which gives AUVSI members the opportunity to meet with legislators and explain the needs of the unmanned industry.
