AUVSI to Host Webinar on the Impact of Unmanned Systems in Agriculture
Agriculturists will gather for a discussion of technological capabilities and uses
ARLINGTON, Va. – The Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) will host a webinar to discuss the impact and applications of unmanned systems in agriculture. The webinar will take place Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2019 at 3 p.m. EST.
“Unmanned Systems on the Farm: Assessing the Impact of Unmanned Systems in Agriculture,” which is sponsored by MicaSense and Flir, will feature a discussion on unmanned systems applications for agriculture, such as ground robotics used in harvesting and seeding and aerial systems used to monitor farmland structures and protect against disease. The webinar will also highlight opportunities and challenges faced by early adopters and how the technology has changed their operations.
The webinar will feature Robert Blair, owner of Three Canyon Farms; Justin Metz, technical integration lead and chief pilot, Bowles Farming Company, Inc.; and Drew Baustian, business development manager, MicaSense, who will share their experiences with unmanned systems in agriculture.
