Ocean Aero and Laurel Technologies are teaming up to deliver Ocean Aero’s wind and solar energy-powered Submaran unmanned surface vehicle to mainland China starting this month.
When equipped with different sensor and observational systems, the USV can collect data that can be used by academics, government officials and commercial users.
“The Ocean Aero team is excited to partner with Laurel Technologies, to provide industry leading technologies for oceanographic, hydrographic and marine environmental monitoring applications,” said Eric Patten, Ocean Aero’s CEO and president.
“We look forward to introducing the Submaran together to the Chinese market, to support their needs of monitoring their coastal and ocean boundaries, through the use of the next generation of autonomous ocean observation vehicles.”
Ocean Aero’s Vice President of Business Development Neil Trenaman added, “We are excited to be working in China with a globally recognized distribution company such as Laurel Technologies, who year after year, generate profitable results.”
