Straight Up Imaging Launches Endurance UAS

Straight Up Imaging announced the launch of their new unmanned aircraft, the Endurance.
“Understanding the need for concentrated, optimized engineering to best service one particular mission, the Endurance was developed initially for precision agriculture use,” says CEO Terry Parisher. “We happily spent a lot of time listening to the professional user to better understand their product needs. As a result, a clean-sheet build developed into an unmanned aircraft focused on aerial imaging.”
With this feedback from the industry and professional user, the aircraft underwent NASA wind tunnel and bench testing. Flight durations of 25 minutes are typical with a one-pound payload installed. A multipurpose payload mount makes the Endurance modular and configurable. It is available for purchase with three different camera packages: the Surveyor package, with a choice of Sony QX1 imaging sensor for orthomosaic and elevation mapping or near infrared-filtered sensor for crop health assessment; the Imaging package, providing aerial photography and videography with a GoPro Hero 4 Black camera mounted to a three-axis stabilized gimbal; or the First Responder package, with a FLIR Vue Pro thermal sensor on a three-axis gimbal with a full-motion video downlink providing real-time and recorded infrared imagery by day or night.
Leasing options, operations, and custom aircraft design services are also available.
