Silicon Valley AUVSI Product Liability Workshop & Reception

Please join us for a Product Liability Workshop and Reception co-hosted by Perkins Coie and AUVSI Silicon Valley.

Throughout the workshop, we will use a real-world case study that spans a product’s entire litigation life-cycle, from initial design and testing to a post-accident litigation. Topics covered will include product liability basics, litigation pitfalls, discovery lessons learned and tactics used against corporate defendants in jury trials. We use materials based on actual cases, including smoking gun email and text messages , as well as the use of product website and sales materials in court. The workshop focuses on ways to help employees work better, on a day-to-day basis, to reduce product liability exposure.

Additionally, Perkins Coie attorneys will cover the practical insurance side of a product liability claim including notice, choice of law, choice of defense counsel, cooperation, additional insured status, certificates of insurance and other claim related issues. We will also cover insights about the new risks facing autonomous car makers and those making component parts, including information about the proper insurance that clients should consider in this space from a risk management perspective, as well as how insurers are handling claims and might view claims in the future.
