Advancements in energy and propulsion systems integrated on unmanned aircraft are enabling long range flights that would take the vehicle beyond visual line-of-sight (BVLOS) of the pilot. BVLOS operations offer potential benefits for a range of missions including surveying, inspection, disaster response, search and rescue, etc. Currently, flying BVLOS with a UAV is not authorized under the Part 107 rule and pilots must be approved on a case-by-case basis. Join this webinar to learn about technology developments in detect and avoid, communications, and command and control that will allow future rulemaking for BVLOS UAV operations.
