FMCSA Administrator Martinez to Deliver Keynote at Automated Vehicle Symposium in Orlando
Aurora’s Chris Urmson and other industry, government representatives also scheduled to speak at meeting focused on driverless-car technology and policy
ARLINGTON, Va. – A senior-level government official and a veteran industry executive will deliver keynote addresses at the Automated Vehicle Symposium. The symposium, hosted by the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) and the Transportation Research Board (TRB), will be held at the Orlando World Center Marriott in Orlando, Florida, on July 15 to 17, 2019.
Raymond P. Martinez, administrator of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), will deliver a keynote address at the symposium on Thursday, July 18 at 8 a.m. EDT.
As previously announced, Chris Urmson, the co-founder and CEO of autonomous technology developer Aurora and former chief technology officer for self-driving cars at Alphabet, will address the conference on Tuesday, July 16 at 8:30 a.m. EDT.
