Aveox Inc., a developer of Brushless DC Motors, Controllers and Power Conversion Electronics, has launched its “Ultimate Torque” (UT) line of brushless motors and stator/rotor sets, which can be used for applications such as UAS propulsion and generation and robotics.

According to Aveox, the UT direct drive Torque Motors are characterized by very high motor constants (Kt ∕ ), low inertia and low weight. The company adds that proprietary designs created using Finite Element Analysis software have been optimized to deliver “high peak and continuous” torque while minimizing cogging torque and reducing weight.

The Ultimate Torque line of frameless stator/rotor sets ranges in diameter from 1.26” up to 9.0”. The available torque ranges from .7 inches-pounds to more than 500 inches-pounds. Just about any aspect of the stators can be customized and Aveox can develop special housings for specific applications. To ensure the highest integrity of turn to turn isolation, each stator undergoes several quality checks and surge testing.

“Adding the Ultimate Torque Motors to our successful BLDC motor family provides design engineers with a broad COTS platform for developing high performance systems for high reliability applications,” says John Nino, Aveox president & CEO.

Almost any aspect of these stators/rotor sets can be easily customized. Aveox Engineering can also rapidly simulate and produce COTS and semi-custom configurations that meet custom requirements.

In addition to the launch of the new UT Series Motors, Aveox has also announced its new intuitive online UT Series Catalog, which was developed specifically to help design engineers find the right motor for their specific application.

“The UT Series motors offer the highest motor torque constant per weight and size in the Industry and have been designed to meet torque-density requirements of todays advanced Military and Commercial Aerospace applications,” says David Palombo, Aveox chief technical officer.
