Terra Drone Indonesia, a group company of Terra Drone Corporation, recently showcased the advantages of using UAS for pipeline monitoring during a demonstration for Indonesian oil and gas group Medco Energi Internasional Tbk PT in Purwakarta, West Java.

The Terra BRAMOR C4EYE UAS, manufactured by Terra Drone group company C-Astral, was used during the demonstration.

“Terra BRAMOR C4EYE can fly for up to 3.5 hours, is powered by an electric battery, and is equipped with a multi-sensor camera consisting of a high-resolution visual camera sensor with up to 40x zoom capability, and a thermal camera to detect objects temperatures or during night operations,” explains Michael Wishnu Wardana, Managing Director of Terra Drone Indonesia.

“The drone is apt to be used for surveillance and security purposes, and it is the best system in its class (under 5kg take-off weight) with the highest endurance, stability and image quality on the market.”

The focus of the demo was how Terra BRAMOR C4EYE can directly monitor activities through real-time video and photos to shoot certain objects with “very clear results.” The UAS can also identify anomalous objects that move in the area being monitored.

Terra Drone notes that several security companies currently use the Terra BRAMOR C4EYE UAS to monitor theft activity on pipelines.
