NuWaves Engineering Introduces UAS Power Amplifier
NuWaves Engineering introduced its latest product, the NuPower 12D05A L- and S-band power amplifier, in an announcement on July 13. Among its many characteristics, the NuPower™ 12D05A L- and S-band PA will be compatible with unmanned aircraft systems.
As a part of a long line of small, high-efficiency PA products, the NuPower 12D05A is a compact system that will have several functionalities, including a higher heat operation than previous installments and the ability to work in conjunction with several different types of platforms and systems, including air- and ground-based tactical, test and training platforms.
Upon the announcement of the NuPower 12D05A, President and CEO of NuWaves Engineering Jeff Wells spoke glowingly of his company’s latest product.
“With the proliferation of COTS [commercial off-the-shelf] and GOTS [government off-the-shelf] low-power radios operating in the L- and S-band telemetry bands, the NuPower 12D05A offers the systems integrator the ability to achieve greater communication distances than would be attainable with the radios alone,” says Wells.
