Riegl, Aeroscout Partner on UAS

Austrian company Riegl and Swiss company Aeroscout announced today that they have entered into a partnership, which will allow both companies to jointly develop UAS platforms with integrated lidar.
The companies have a history of working together, outfitting Riegl lidar scanners onto Aeroscout systems.
“The cooperation, now based upon Riegl's shareholdership in Aeroscout, will further intensify the already existing bond between the two firms and benefit both our companies’ position in the international markets by offering an even broader array of highly advanced, survey-grade lidar sensors integrated in complementary UAV/UAS platforms — Riegl's electrically powered multirotor RiCopter and Aeroscout's piston-engine powered helicopter-type Scout,” says Dr. Johannes Riegl, Riegl CEO.
