SeeByte Integrates CoPilot With Work-Class ROVs

SeeByte announced that is has successfully integrated its CoPilot software with the work-class remotely operated vehicles on board the Normand Oceanic offshore vessel.
CoPilot is a plug-and-play software that permits pilot-controlled auto-transit and stop-and-hover, while providing automated sonar tracking and movement relevant to a target. CoPilot is equipped on two of the latest versions of the work-class Hercules ROV, which are deployed through the vessel’s own moonpool and capable up to 3,000 meters below sea level.
“SeeByte’s CoPilot system provides our Hercules ROV pilots with a stable platform to offset the effects of poor visibility and current, allowing them to fully focus on the task at hand,” SubSea 7 ROV Fleet and Project Support Manager Andrew Foster says. “The system flexibility allows us to swiftly install it as is and when specific client requirements determine. SeeByte has provided us with a comprehensive and responsive level of support throughout the process. In this latest installation to the Normand Oceanic, the team have also proved their competence in addressing and resolving any issues that have arisen on the vessel remotely.”
CoPilot can be retrofitted to any ROV system, but is also available from the factory with VideoRay, Seatronics and SMD.
