Sky Power introduces mobile APU test and evaluation system
Based on the SP-180 SRE-hybrid Wankel engine, Sky Power International offers the SP-180 SRE APU demonstrator.
An Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) is a small, self-contained power source that is used in land and rail vehicles as well as in general aviation or maritime applications. These units provide an independent power supply that allows the main engine to remain switched off while electrical devices continue to operate. Based on the SP-180 SRE-hybrid Wankel engine, Sky Power International offers the SP-180 SRE APU demonstrator mobile APU test and evaluation system.

Interconnection Challenges and Solutions for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems
Meeting the most demanding challenges of uncrewed systems in the maritime, land, and aerospace domains requires state-of-the art interconnection solutions – especially for use cases in extreme conditions and harsh environments. A key technical consideration for connectivity is the need for high data transfer while achieving reduced SWaP-C (Size, Weight, and Power – Cost).
LEMO USA’s B, K, T, M series of interconnect solutions aim to meet these needs for uncrewed systems and the critical missions they serve. Customers have opportunities to learn more these solutions next week at XPONENTIAL 2024.

LEMO’s Leading Connectivity Solutions for UAVs in Agriculture and Defense
UAVs have seen unprecedented growth over the past decade, particularly in defense applications and with growth in agricultural applications. The move toward autonomy has created a clear trend toward increased power requirements for connectors in aerial systems. Connectivity solutions must overcome specific challenges associated with the rapid evolution of UAV technologies.

Supporting Drone Competitiveness For Public Safety Missions
The following are introductory remarks delivered by Michael Robbins, Chief Advocacy Officer, at AUVSI's webinar on, Supporting Drone Competitiveness For Public Safety Missions":
There has been a bit of passionate discussion in our community of late about what AUVSI is for, and what AUVSI is against, on some key policy matters. I want to take a moment to set the record straight, and let you hear this directly from AUVSI, instead of through the interpretation of others.
Skydio X10 Sets a New Standard for Drone Imaging Technology
What a drone can do is often defined by what a drone can see.
The Skydio X10 is a new drone that pushes the limits of UAV sensors. It captures best-in-class visual data to help infrastructure operators, utility providers, telecom providers, and other enterprise users complete their toughest jobs.
The X10 combines Skydio’s intelligent flight software with a sensor payload that includes ultra-high resolution visual and radiometric thermal cameras.
These sensors put the whole scene into focus and detect details from a distance – capturing the right visual data for a variety of missions.

Sagetech Avionics Blasts Into the New Year Riding High on Its Accomplishments
In this interview, Sagetech Avionics’ CEO Tom Furey outlines the company’s advancements in certified mission-critical transponders, software and related technologies in support of defense and civil general aviation, uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS) and electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. Furey, a dynamic and hands-on executive with a passion for leading teams to breakout success in growth industries, walks us through the world of Sagetech’s groundbreaking low size, weight and power (SWaP) identify friend or foe (IFF) and ADS-B transponders, collision avoidance (ACAS) and detect and avoid (DAA) products that continue contributing to advancements in safe flight for dual-use missions and enabling beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) operations in the commercial sector.
