TODAY: AUVSI Webinar on Drones in Entertainment
Experts will examine the emerging role of drones in the arts

ARLINGTON, Va. – The Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) will host a webinar to discuss the applications and capabilities of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), also known as drones, in film and photography. The webinar will take place Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at 3 p.m. EDT.

“Capturing the Moment: Drones in the Arts & Entertainment” will discuss how the entertainment industry was an early adopter of UAS, utilizing the technology for isolated areas that have long been cost prohibitive for cinematographers and photographers. The webinar will feature Shah Selbe, Explorer at National Geographic and Patrick Sherman, Commercial Drone Operator, Trainer and Educator at Roswell Flight Test Crew, who will answer questions on selecting the best equipment, pursuing a career in drone imaging and how to capitalize on the emerging role of UAS in the arts.

The webinar is sponsored by Rotor Drone Magazine, the first magazine of its kind showcasing all types of multirotor aircraft, from easy-to-fly micros to sophisticated giants as well as all the latest accessories and must-have gear.

Registration for the webinar is complimentary for AUVSI members and the media, and $49 for non-members. Registration will close on July 25 at 11 a.m. EDT. For more information or to register, contact Tom McMahon at tmcmahon@auvsi.org or (571) 255-7786.
